Meet The Old Me
For more than ten years I worked my ass off. I wanted to make 100K plus a year, live in the big house, drive the BMW, dress my kid in the best clothes, carry the latest Michael Kors handbag, host wine nights at my house, you know to chase the "American Dream".
And I did it. I worked ten hours a day, screamed at my child in the morning because I needed to get to the office ten minutes earlier than the day before, didn't talk to my husband at night because I was practicing a sales pitch, put on the "front" that I had a perfect life.
Then I realized that these things didn't buy me happiness. I literally felt sick every damn time I drove around looking for a parking spot to rush into the morning meeting, the site of the fancy purse I was carrying my laptop in made me want to puke, a coworker would ask me a question and I would snap their heads off.
What changed?

One night my husband and I were watching a Netflix documentary about Thailand street food. After it was over I couldn't sleep, I checked flight prices and dreamed about my boss allowing me three weeks off.
I woke up the next morning and told my husband before I got out of bed that we were taking the trip, there was no better time than right now, I think he thought I had lost my mind.
I called the school that morning and told them I was taking Dmitri out of school, I lied to my boss and told him that my parents had booked the trip as a surprise and there was no getting out of it and booked the trip that would change my life.
When I got back from Thailand I knew that I never wanted to live my life the same way. My perfect job, my big house, my fancy car, wasn't possessions I wanted anymore. I wanted to live, live beyond the click.
I just couldn't quit, we lived in the American Rat Race, the more money we made the more debt we accrued.
For the next twelve months I watched freelancers and internet marketers video every second I could, I started talking to my clients about if I was to leave would they work with me, I started acquiring skills I needed to do my job without my company, and I worked on my mindset.
October 2018 I woke up bitching about my job and my husband said I wish you would just quit that was the shove that I needed. I walked into my boss's office and gave my two-week notice.
The New Me Started That Day
The New Me started that day. (Cheers!) I'm not going to lie to you and tell you it was easy. I literally tossed and turned for weeks and didn't really have a full plan.
What I knew is that I wanted to create the life I desired, one that my teenage son would look at one day and be like that is my Mom.
I want to provide my clients with digital campaigns that don't need the numbers spun to look decent, I wanted to work less and enjoy life more.
I want to not give a shit about what the other mom's think of me. I want to travel the world with my family and blog about travel and digital marketing.
Digital Marketing
After working for a corporate company for five years I knew exactly what I didn't want to do. I didn't want to follow up with my client monthly and say I served you x amount of impressions and x amount of clicks, this campaign was a success. I was tired of the bullshit.
I wanted to focus on after the click, lead gen, follow up, closing the customer, and ROI. I wanted to be able to prove day in and day out that the campaigns I was running were driving my client's business and making them money. I wanted to me 100% transparent and deliver kickass results.
I decided that day I was going to create a result-driven digital marketing agency that did not exist in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I took the platforms that I am an expert in Google Ads, Facebook & Instagram Ads, Clickfunnels, and Constant Contact and started creating result-driven campaigns.
I drove clicks, captured leads, nurtured leads, and helped my clients close business.
I am happy to say I am still making six figures and 100% of my clients are happy.

Travel
I could write a novel here. Travel makes my blood pressure go up, it gives me goosebumps and is my definition of happiness. I am different than most of the twenty-something-year-old travel bloggers out there. I am 38 years old, married, and have a junior in high school. I can't just sell all my stuff, stay in hostels, and travel the world. I have had to create my own version of the travel laptop lifestyle.
You might be asking yourself what is a travel laptop lifestyle? It is how I have created a dream career that allows me to work from anywhere in the world that has wifi. I am going to tell you how you can do it, trust me if I can do it, anyone can.
I am just like you. I am not a 5'5, 110-pound blonde who looks amazing in bikinis. I will probably never have an amazing picture in a thong in Bali that will get 1 million Instagram likes if that is what you are looking for quit reading now. I am a mom who still stresses how my family and I will afford the next trip, that forgets to pack the camera, and occasionally drinks too much.
I prefer a Tuk-Tuk over a limo, I prefer a room with no air-conditioner in the middle of the jungle over a five-star hotel, I love a truly authentic travel experience. I am not going to lie to you, I follow the same hashtags you do #dreamvacations and if I won the lottery I would have a tummy tuck, boob job, and be Instagramming photos form Four Seasons resorts. Since I probably won't be winning the lottery anytime soon I am going to be authentic.

I am also going to share how travel makes me feel, how it has changed my perception of politics and the world, and how it has changed my life.
