My family loves the great outdoors and waterfalls are an absolute must for the soul! We are super lucky because Natural Falls State Park is only 1 hour and 17 minutes from our house. It is located on Highway 412, near the Arkansas - Oklahoma state line, in Colcord Oklahoma.

Natural Falls State Park In Oklahoma - Oklahoma Waterfall

This is more than just a waterfall it is truly an oasis. There is the 77-foot tall cascade waterfall that makes your jaw drop! This is the perfect place to snap some Instagram worthy pictures. There are two observation decks, trails that cross old bridges, and beautiful scenery everywhere.

When you get to Natural Falls State Park and start taking it all in you may start to recognize it. The 1974 film Where the Red Fern Grows was filmed here. If you haven't watched the movie yet, do it now! (Warning It Is Sad!)

We just made a day trip, but  I want to go back and stay in a yurt for a weekend. We had no idea that they had a frisbee golf course, lots of hiking trails, and that you can fish.
